Sit back, relax, and take in the changing landscapes as we travel together. Comfort stops will be made throughout the day to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable travel experience.
Today features a special highlight - an authentic Quebec sugar shack experience. We'll stop to enjoy traditional maple-inspired fare along with live entertainment, offering a true taste of Quebec culture and hospitality. This evening, we arrive in historic Quebec City and check into our hotel. After settling in, the remainder of the evening is dinner on your own, giving you the opportunity to explore the city's many dining options at your own pace.
Day 2 - July 19
Start your morning with an included breakfast at the hotel, then we'll depart Quebec City and continue east toward Moncton, New Brunswick. Enjoy a relaxing day aboard our comfortable motorcoach as the scenery shifts from charming towns to wide-open landscapes, with comfort stops made along the way.
This afternoon we arrive in Moncton and check into our hotel. This evening, settle in and enjoy a delicious included welcome dinner-a perfect way to kick off our time in New Brunswick.
Day 3 - July 20
Enjoy an included breakfast this morning before we check out and depart for Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park-one of New Brunswick's most unforgettable natural wonders. Carved by the world-famous Bay of Fundy tides, these towering "flowerpot" rock formations are a true bucket-list sight, offering dramatic coastal scenery you won't find anywhere else.
After our visit, we'll continue our journey toward North Sydney, Nova Scotia, traveling through beautiful Maritime landscapes with comfort stops along the way.
This evening, we arrive at our hotel in North Sydney where a welcome dinner awaits.
Day 4 - July 21
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before we check out and make our way to the ferry terminal in North Sydney. Then it's time to sit back and relax as we sail across the Cabot Strait on a scenic, comfortable crossing to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland-a highlight of the journey and a memorable way to arrive on the island. Keep an eye out for open-ocean views as we enjoy the fresh sea air and the excitement of drawing closer to Newfoundland.
Upon arrival, we'll disembark and travel to our hotel for check-in. This evening, a delicious included welcome dinner is served-an inviting start to our Newfoundland adventure.
Day 5 - July 22
We set out today on a true Newfoundland showcase, traveling through the sweeping beauty of the Codroy Valley, where wide-open views and quiet coastal charm set the tone for the day. After an included breakfast, we'll continue on through some of the province's most striking landscapes.
Our journey takes us through Gros Morne National Park-a spectacular region we'll be enjoying even more later in the tour-offering a preview of the dramatic scenery that makes this part of Newfoundland so legendary. Lunch is included today and will be enjoyed along the way as we travel.
This afternoon we arrive in the fishing community of Port au Choix, set on a peninsula that reaches into the Gulf of St. Lawrence along Newfoundland's northwest coast. With human history stretching back 5,500 years, this area is one of the province's most fascinating cultural destinations, and our visit brings that remarkable past to life as we learn about the ancient cultures who first lived here.
This evening, we'll check in to our hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner before settling in for the night in Port au Choix.
Day 6 - July 23
We set off today for an unforgettable highlight of the journey-our adventure into Labrador. After enjoying an included breakfast, we'll start the day bright and early and make our way to the ferry in St. Barbe for our crossing of the Strait of Belle Isle. It's a spectacular way to begin the day, with wide-open ocean views and the excitement of a new province appearing on the horizon.
Once in Labrador, we follow the rugged coastline to Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Atlantic Canada's most compelling historic treasures. Here you'll discover the remarkable story of the Basque whalers, who established a major whaling station in the 16th century-a fascinating chapter of early North Atlantic history brought vividly to life.
With its windswept shores, working harbour, and deep sense of place, Red Bay captures the essence of Labrador coastal living-rich in culture, resilience, and story.
This evening, we'll enjoy an included dinner and settle in after a day filled with scenery and discovery.
Day 7 - July 24
This morning begins with an included breakfast before we cross back to Newfoundland by ferry-an enjoyable start to the day with fresh sea air and coastal views as we make our way toward the island's northern tip.
Our destination is the extraordinary L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, one of the most remarkable places in North America. Recognized as the first cultural discovery in the world to receive UNESCO World Heritage Site status, this is where you'll hear the fascinating story of the Vikings who arrived here over a thousand years ago. The setting is wild and windswept, and the history feels wonderfully close-making it a true bucket-list experience.
Later, we continue on to St. Anthony and check in to our accommodations for the night. An included dinner rounds out the day, followed by a relaxing evening at the hotel.
Day 8 - July 25
We begin the day with one of Newfoundland's most unforgettable experiences: a whale-watching boat tour in St. Anthony. After an included breakfast, we'll head out onto the water, where the nutrient-rich coastal waters create excellent opportunities to spot humpback, minke, fin, and pilot whales. Add in lively seabird colonies and dramatic shoreline views, and it's easy to see why this region is considered one of the best whale-watching areas anywhere.
After our marine adventure, we travel south to Cow Head, set within the breathtaking scenery of Gros Morne National Park, where we'll settle in for a two-night stay. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Gros Morne is famous for its towering cliffs, fjord-like bays, coastal villages, and truly spectacular landscapes-an absolute highlight of Atlantic Canada.
This evening, enjoy an included dinner and a relaxing night as we get ready to explore more of this remarkable park.
Day 9 - July 26
Today takes us deeper into Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its jaw-dropping mix of towering cliffs, fjord-like bays, and landscapes that feel almost untouched by time. Many travellers say the scenery here is unequaled in Eastern Canada-and it's easy to understand why once you're in the middle of it.
After our included breakfast, we'll set out for a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay, where dramatic coastal mountains rise straight from the water and the views seem to get better with every turn. Keep watch overhead and along the shoreline-bald eagles are frequently spotted here, often circling above the deep waters of the fjord.
We'll also visit the unforgettable Tablelands, a flat-topped mountain of striking, rust-coloured rock that looks almost otherworldly. What makes it truly remarkable is that this rock is usually found deep in the Earth's mantle-and here, it's exposed right at the surface, making it one of the most unique geological sites you'll ever see.
A boxed lunch will be provided to enjoy during our day of exploring, and we'll wrap up this incredible day with an included dinner and a relaxing evening in the park.
Day 10 - July 27
As our time in Gros Morne National Park draws to a close, we'll travel onward through the picturesque landscapes of Central Newfoundland to Gander. Breakfast is included this morning before we depart.
Gander is known worldwide as the inspiration for the hit Broadway musical Come From Away. During our visit, you'll learn about the community's remarkable hospitality in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, when 38 aircraft were unexpectedly diverted here-and local residents welcomed thousands of travellers with extraordinary generosity and care.
We'll also visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum, featuring engaging exhibits and artifacts that chronicle Gander's important role in the early development of transatlantic aviation. Afterwards, we will check into our hotel. With multiple restaurants within walking distance, the evening is yours to enjoy dinner and relax as you wish.
Day 11 - July 28
Today features a full day of exploration, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included as we travel through some of Newfoundland's most scenic coastal landscapes.
Our journey takes us along the rugged shoreline of Notre Dame Bay, where rocky coastlines and sweeping ocean views lead us to the charming outport community of Twillingate. Here we'll see Long Point Lighthouse and the Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre, offering insight into the region's seafaring traditions and rich fishing history.
Continuing on, we travel through Terra Nova National Park, a region known for its forested hills, sheltered inlets, and abundant wildlife-keep an eye out as we make our way through this beautiful national park.
This evening, we arrive in Clarenville, our home for the night, where we'll enjoy an included dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 12 - July 29
Today we travel to Bay Bulls for one of the true highlights of the tour: a boat excursion into the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, one of the world's most important seabird nesting areas. As we cruise these coastal waters, you'll have an excellent chance to spot puffins along with other seabirds in their natural habitat-an unforgettable Newfoundland experience.
Afterward, we continue on to St. John's to explore the province's vibrant capital. Our sightseeing includes Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most easterly point in North America, time along the busy modern waterfront, a visit to the impressive Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, and a stop at Confederation Building. We'll also take in the panoramic views from Signal Hill, one of the best vantage points overlooking the harbour and coastline.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included today.
Day 13 - July 30
This morning, we depart St. John's and journey back across Newfoundland-this time traveling east to west. After an included breakfast, settle in for a scenic drive through ever-changing landscapes, from rugged coastlines to forested stretches, with glimpses of small communities and wide-open wilderness along the way.
By late day, we arrive in Stephenville for our final overnight stay in Newfoundland. This evening, enjoy an included dinner before we settle in for the night.
Day 14 - July 31
This morning we return to Port aux Basques and board the ferry for our crossing back to Nova Scotia. After an included breakfast, settle in for a relaxing day at sea as we sail across the Cabot Strait-an enjoyable chance to unwind, take in the open-water views, and reflect on the incredible experiences we've shared in Newfoundland.
Upon arrival in Nova Scotia, we continue on to Sydney and check in to our hotel. This evening, enjoy an included dinner and a comfortable overnight stay after a scenic travel day.
Day 15 - August 1
After our included breakfast, we depart for Moncton, New Brunswick and travel through the scenic Maritime countryside on our way back east.
This evening we arrive in Moncton and check in to the Crowne Plaza, ideally located right in the heart of downtown. You'll have free time to explore the lively downtown area at your own pace, with plenty of excellent restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance of the hotel.
Day 16 - August 2
After an included breakfast at the hotel, we continue our journey east and begin our travels toward home. Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we make comfort stops along the way.
We arrive in beautiful Quebec City in the early evening, where you'll have time to explore at your leisure and enjoy dinner on your own in this historic and vibrant city.
Day 17 - August 3
After an included breakfast, we'll check out of our hotel and travel to vibrant Montréal, arriving in the iconic Old Port (Vieux-Port) district-one of the city's most lively and atmospheric areas.
You'll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own, with plenty of tempting choices nearby-from classic Montréal favourites to international cuisine. In August, the Old Port is full of energy, with outdoor patios, street performers, and often live music, creating a lively backdrop for a fun afternoon.
There will also be time to browse and shop, with a great mix of unique boutiques, local artisans, and specialty shops throughout the Old Port and surrounding streets.
