Day 1

With all passengers on board, we will depart for Cape Cod! We will make a Duty-Free stop before crossing the border. Afterward, we will stop at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant for lunch on your own and make other comfort breaks along our journey this afternoon.

We expect to arrive at the Holiday Inn Hyannis around 4:30pm. Welcome to the sandy shores of Cape Cod. Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. You can revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and saltwater taffy.

After checking in, a dinner buffet will be included tonight at your hotel.

D

Day 2

After your included breakfast, your local guide will meet you at your hotel and you will travel to Wareham.

Your day will begin with a cranberry bog tour by A.D. Makepeace, the world's largest cranberry grower. Your guide will show you examples of an existing bog, currently in production, and will discuss the stages of the cranberry growing process. There are two methods of harvesting, and you may even see it happening. Learn from the expert cranberry growers about farming and harvesting this fruit named "craneberry" by the Pilgrims.

Then you will travel to Plymouth for lunch on your own. Home of our pilgrim fathers and one of our country's first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A picture stop will be made at the Forefather's Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. She stands facing the harbor welcoming those who come by water. A picture stop will also be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620; it is a reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the New World.

At 3:30pm we will board the lobster tales cruise to learn about the many creatures that live in Plymouth Harbor. Experience a hands-on approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment. Roll up your sleeves to help haul in lobster traps.

A Lobster dinner is included this evening. Alternate entrees will be available for any landlubbers not wishing to eat shell fish.

After our delicious meal, the rest of the evening is yours to relax at our hotel.

B, D

Day 3

After our included breakfast at the hotel, we will meet our local guide for a full day of touring. We will travel the historic Route 6A known as Old Kings Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history.

We will travel past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View a windmill, a Cape Cod lighthouse and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitors Centre. Sand dunes and ocean surround you as you approach Land's End, Provincetown. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/ fishermen's village so fun!

After lunch on your own, you'll have your choice of two incredible excursions.

Board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of whale watching (3 hours). You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate from all over the Atlantic, and fish that use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and FinWhales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish, and lighthouses.

OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND:

Admission is included on a one-hour Dune Tour excursion. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore, the largest protected coastline in the country. Your driver/ guide will point out the "dune shacks" where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art.

Following a busy day of sightseeing, dinner is included this evening. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

B, D

Day 4

Your breakfast is included this morning at your hotel.

After your meal, a local guide will meet us at the hotel and conduct a tour of Hyannis including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family.

Your local guide will meet you at your hotel and you will travel to Woods Hole where you will board the traditional steamship authority ferry to the island of Martha's Vineyard. Upon arrival at 11:30am your guide will conduct a down-island tour. You will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as you pass through the picturesque villages. There will be free time for lunch on your own in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete your day on the island in Oak Bluffs strolling through Cottage City with its brightly painted cottages and decorative "gingerbread" trim.

After we depart the island at 5:00pm, we will enjoy our included dinner on the mainland. The rest of the evening is yours to relax.

B, D

Day 5

After our included breakfast this morning, we will be checking out of our hotel and then travelling to Boston. As the largest and one of the oldest cities in New England, Boston is regarded as the unofficial "Capital of New England" for its economic and cultural impact on the entire New England region.

Once we arrive in Boston, we will meet our local guide for our city tour. Boston is the city where America's roots were formed and driving through it is like reading the pages of an American history book. Your guide will point out sights along the Freedom Trail as well as the Boston Common and Public Gardens, the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the gold-domed State House.

Enjoy free time and lunch on your own at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. For over 250 years the marketplace has played an integral role in the life of Boston's residents.

At 2:30pm we will begin our journey west and arrive at the historical Salem Cross Inn at 4:00pm for our included dinner.

Let the Fireplace feast begin! Relax by the fieldstone fireplace as the crackling fire roasts your prime rib "to a turn" by rotating it slowly over a crackling fire of wild cherry logs. This jack is the only known 1700s antique roasting jack that is still in use today. The flavor of the fireplace-roasted prime rib is unsurpassed. Beware the brimming bowl of freshly whipped cream - the perfect complement to New England's best apple pie served from an antique wooden bowl.

After our delicious meal, we will head to Chicopee where we are staying at the Hampton Inn for the evening. Enjoy a relaxing night before our travel day tomorrow!

B, D

Day 6

This morning we will enjoy our included breakfast at the hotel before beginning our journey back to Kingston. You'll head home with sand in your shoes, seashells in your pocket and many fond memories of your McCoy Getaway to Cape Cod!

Comfort stops will be made along the way for lunch on your own and at the Duty Free. We plan to arrive home early in the evening hours.
