Step back in time with us as we explore some of the most beautiful towns in Western Ontario. This fall tour includes the choice to see La Cage aux Folles or the premier of The Diviners at the Stratford Festival, Castle Kilbride and St. Jacobs!

 

Castle Kilbride will take you back in time and give you a glimpse into how the wealthiest lived in the 19^th Century. Our adventure does not end here; we will also have the opportunity to spend time at the largest year-round farmers market in Canada. The St. Jacobs Market offers an abundance of meats, cheeses, fresh produce and more. On our last day, we will spend an afternoon in one of the most charming cities in Ontario – Stratford. The Diviners is premiering at The Tom Patterson Theatre this year and you won’t want to miss it!

La Cage aux Folles:

Georges, the manager of a drag club in St. Tropez, decides to “play it straight” when his son arrives with his fiancé and her ultra-conservative parents. Albin, the club’s star performer and romantic partner to Georges, is dubious about the plan. The ensuing clash unravels truth and consequences with heartwarming grace. Gorgeous and funny, La Cage aux Folles has been delighting audiences since its Broadway première in 1983, when it won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Fans of the Oscar-nominated film The Bird Cage (inspired by the French play the musical takes its name and inspiration from) will rejoice in seeing familiar characters on the stage!

 

The Diviners:

Novelist Morag Gunn, estranged from her only daughter, unable to write, struggling with the bottle, is adrift in a river of memories. Travelling from the present to the past to an imagined future, Morag’s journey encompasses her personal struggle for freedom and expression as well as those of the Métis and First Nations peoples of Manitoba. Adapted from Margaret Laurence’s classic Canadian novel, The Diviners receives its world première at the Stratford Festival.

• Potato Leek Soup with Onion Crumble

• Parlour Greens - Arugula, Feta, Blueberries, Candied Pumpkin Seeds &White Balsamic Vinaigrette

Each entree is served with chef’s choice seasonal vegetables and starch.

For this lunch you will have the following options to choose from:

 

Option 1) Schnitzel Dinner: Breaded in house + served with mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies and sauerkraut

Buffet Dinner at the Courtyard by Marriott Waterloo St. Jacobs:

The buffet dinner will include an assortment of dishes to enjoy including:

 

Garden salad, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, chicken breast with mushroom white wine cream sauce, Basa fish fillet with lemon butter sauce and an assortment of dessert squares

 

Buffet Dinner at Mandarin:

The Mandarin Buffet is an all-you-can-enjoy dine in experience with over 100 options a variety of soups and salads, Chinese entrees, sushi, American fare, desserts, and ice cream.

 

Breakfast at Courtyard by Marriott Waterloo St. Jacobs

The breakfast at the hotel will include a standard continental breakfast with choice of bagels, toast, muffins, waffles, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice products.
