The smash-hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is headed across the pond from London’s West End for a limited run in Toronto this winter. Join us on February 15th when we travel to the Princess of Wales Theatre.
The musical is a retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers but rose through the ranks by correctly interpreting the Pharaoh’s dreams and saving Egypt from famine.
The new production is directed by Laurence Connor, who also helmed updated versions of “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Les Misérables,” which both ran in Toronto in recent years. With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Weber, the musical has been performed in over 80 countries since debuting in 1968. It features many songs that have gone on to become pop and musical theatre classics, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go Joseph.

The musical begins. The show is roughly 2 hours in length and should finish around 3:30 pm.

Immediatley following the conclusion on the musical, we'll board the bus and depart for dinner.

Dinner at the Mandarin in Pickering.

Following dinner, we'll board the bus and continue on our journey home.
