All rise for Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork.

Set in the 1930s during a time of racial tension and social injustice, the play follows the journey of young Scout Finch, her brother Jem, and their father, Atticus Finch. Through their innocent eyes, we witness the unforgiving reality of prejudice and discrimination as Atticus, a principled and morally steadfast lawyer, defends a black man accused of assaulting a white woman. This courageous act challenges the deeply ingrained norms of the town and exposes the dark underbelly of society.

The play artfully delves into the complex themes of empathy, compassion, and the pursuit of justice, all while portraying the resilience of the human spirit. As Scout navigates the intricacies of racial prejudice, she learns valuable lessons about empathy and the importance of standing up for what is right.

The New York Times Critic’s Pick To Kill a Mockingbird is “the most successful American play in Broadway history.” (60 Minutes). Rolling Stone gives it 5 stars, calling it “an emotionally shattering landmark production of an American classic,” and New York Magazine calls it “a real phenomenon. Majestic and incandescent, it’s filled with breath and nuance and soul.” With direction by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher, To Kill a Mockingbird   – “the greatest novel of all time” (Chicago Tribune) – has quickly become “one of the greatest plays in history” (NPR).
